M Series-Vertically Arranged Tooth Interface PDC

The interface between the diamond layer and the cemented carbide substrate of an M series PDC comes with a one-way vertically-arranged tooth structure. The waveform and height of the teeth and the spacing between them will affect the strength and residual stress of the surface. The sine waveform is recommended.
The interface tooth form used in the earliest application of non-planar interfacing technology dates back to 20 to 30 years ago. Simple, reliable, and economical, this tooth form remains useful and important in a scenario requiring a small size (4-11mm in diameter) PDC or excellent price-performance ratio.
